At The Field Group - Accounting we are committed to ensuring you're prepared and up to date with key financial dates. Please take note of the following key dates and cut-offs for businesses with employees including BAS, PAYG and Superannuation obligations.

July 2021

1 July 2021 – Individual income tax returns due from now until 31 October if preparing and lodging yourself.

14 July 2021 – Employers must issue PAYG withholding payment summaries to employees by today.

21 July 2021 – Lodge and pay June BAS (if you lodge monthly).

21 July 2021 – Annual payroll reconciliation needs to be lodged and any further liability paid by this date

28 July 2021 – Lodge and pay Q4 (April – June) BAS (if you lodge quarterly).

28 July 2021 – Super guarantee contributions for Q4 (April – June) is due by today.

August 2021

7 Aug 2021 – Lodge monthly payroll tax return for registered Victorian workers

14 Aug 2021 – PAYG withholding payment summary annual report is due.

21 Aug 2021 – Lodge and pay July BAS (if you lodge monthly).

25 Aug 2021 – Lodge and pay quarter 4, 2012–21 activity statement if you lodge electronically.

September 2021

7 Sept 2021 – Lodge monthly payroll tax return for registered Victorian workers

21 Sept 2021 – Lodge and pay August BAS (if you lodge monthly).

October 2021

7 Oct 2021 – Lodge monthly payroll tax return for registered Victorian workers

21 Oct 2021– Lodge and pay September BAS (if you lodge monthly).

28 Oct 2021 – Lodge and pay your Q1 (July – Sept) BAS (if you lodge quarterly).

28 Oct 2021 – Super guarantee contributions for Q1 (July – Sept) is due by today.

31 Oct 2021 – Last day to submit individual income tax returns.

November 2021

7 Nov 2021 – Lodge monthly payroll tax return for registered Victorian workers

21 Nov 2021 – Lodge and pay October BAS (if you lodge monthly).

25 Nov 2021 – Lodge and pay quarter 1, 2020–21 activity statement if you lodge electronically.

December 2021

7 Dec 2021 – Lodge monthly payroll tax return for registered Victorian workers

21 Dec 2021 – Lodge and pay November BAS (if you lodge monthly).

January 2022

7 Jan 2022 – Lodge monthly payroll tax return for registered Victorian workers

21 Jan 2022 – Lodge and pay December BAS (if you lodge monthly).

28 Jan 2022 – Super guarantee contributions for Q2 (Oct – Dec) is due by today.

February 2022

7 Feb 2022 – Lodge monthly payroll tax return for registered Victorian workers

21 Feb 2022 – Lodge and pay January BAS (if you lodge monthly).

28 Feb 2022 – Lodge and pay Q2 (Oct– Dec) BAS (if you lodge quarterly).

March 2022

7 Mar 2022 – Lodge monthly payroll tax return for registered Victorian workers

21 Mar 2022 – Lodge and pay February BAS (if you lodge monthly).

April 2022

7 Apr 2022 – Lodge monthly payroll tax return for registered Victorian workers

21 Apr 2022 – Lodge and pay March BAS (if you lodge monthly).

28 Apr 2022 – Lodge and pay Q3 (Jan– March) BAS (if you lodge quarterly).

28 Apr 2022 – Super guarantee contributions for Q3 (Jan- Mar) is due by today.

May 2022

7 May 2022 – Lodge monthly payroll tax return for registered Victorian workers

15 May 2022– Company income tax returns due for lodgement and payment

15 May 2022 – Partnership & Trust Income tax returns due for lodgement

15 May 2022 – Individual income tax returns due for lodgement if using a tax agent

21 May 2022 – Lodge and pay April BAS (if you lodge monthly).

21 May 2022 – The Fringe Benefit Tax return is due by today if you lodge by paper.

26 May 2022 – Lodge and pay quarter 3, 2021–22 activity statement if you lodge electronically.

28 May 2022 – The Fringe Benefit Tax return is due by today if you lodge electronically.

*Note: The FBT tax year runs from 1 April to 31 March.

June 2022

7 Jun 2022 – Lodge monthly payroll tax return for registered Victorian workers

21 Jun 2022 – Lodge and pay May BAS (if you lodge monthly).

25 Jun 2022 – FBT Return Due

30 Jun 2022 – Prepare for end of financial year and wrap up your books for the 2021/22 year.

When is the start and end of financial year?

The current financial year began on 1 July 2021 and ends on the 30 June 2022

What is end of financial year?

The term end of financial year or (EOFY) refers to the completion of a one-year or 12-month accounting period. The financial year is the period used for calculating annual financial statements. A businesses financial year in Australia typically differs from the calendar year, and does not close on December 31.
