In the last 10 years Gavin has also become involved in the area of business services.
Gavin is a Registered Company Auditor with ASIC and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia

Dannie McKinnon CPA
Director
Dannie has been with The Field Group since February 1997 and specialises in the areas of tax compliance and consulting. This includes advising regarding structures for new and existing businesses, GST and ABN compliance, tax and tax planning, capital gains tax advice, business asset sale and purchase advice, and business asset protection.
Dannie lives locally in Mt Evelyn with his partner Tanya, step-daughter, Sophie, and son, Beau. As a keen Pies fan, Dannie loves watching the AFL, attending local games at Wandin where he is a life member, or pulling on the boots at Chirnside as part of the Veterans side. Dannie also has the Harness Racing bug and has led in 37 winners to date.

Debbie has been involved in public accounting for approximately 30 years. She has been with The Field Group since 1990 and has been a director since 2001.
Debbie is an accredited Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Specialist Advisor and heads our superannuation division. Debbie also has extensive experience in
business advisory services, management accounting and taxation for small and medium business over a large range of client types and industries.
Debbie has a personal interest and expertise in residential real estate investing and negative gearing. She is married to Neil, lives locally, and is a supporter
of Melbourne Storm and Collingwood.

Gerry Schembri FCPA
Director
Gerry heads a team of dedicated professional staff and is committed to servicing the needs of small business and individual clients. He is a fellow of CPA Australia and a registered tax agent with over 25 years experience in the accounting profession.
Gerry joined The Field Group (then Dobrigh & Winterbottom) in 1988 and assumed the position of Director in 1995. His special interests include advising in the area of family business succession planning and SME business valuations. He has expertise in working with Professionals, Farming Businesses and Investor clients.
Gerry is married to Sylvie and has two children. Away from work, Gerry enjoys travelling, supporting the Richmond tigers and during the summer months is a Premier Cricket umpire with Cricket Victoria.

John commenced in the accounting industry in 1978 and has over 30 years experience. He specialises in the areas of tax compliance and consulting. This includes advice regarding structures for new and existing businesses, GST and ABN compliance, tax and tax planning, capital gains tax advice, business asset sale and purchase advice, and business asset protection.
John was a manager with a top 4 chartered accounting firm prior to commencing his own business in 1990. John was the principal of his own accounting practice from 1990 to 2010. He joined The Field Group on 2nd July, 2010.
John is the chairman of a Taxation Institute of Australia discussion group and has held the position for over 15 years. He is the deputy chairman, company secretary and public officer of a company that operates a Bendigo Bank franchise.
John has been married to Judy for 24 years and has two sons, Jamie and Dale. In his spare time, John likes to play golf and watch the Blues.
